Jessica & Richard – Their Wedding

Their wedding was for them.

A celebration of almost 10 years together.

A day of personal touches such as, Jessica’s handmade wedding dress along with a beautifully crafted bouquet made by her Mom.

Their ceremony was held behind Richard’s family barn, where hand written vows flowed back and forth and then up through an arch made by Jess’ Dad.

It was an event that was filled with love for one another and for friends and family. Acknowledged by glasses filled with homemade lemonade and sangria being raised to thank all who helped and took part in their big day.

A celebration that could be barely contained within the walls of a personally decorated historic barn set on the grounds of Fort Edmonton Park.

Heartfelt speeches spoken through the summer air along with the lovingly embarrassing jokes that only a Mom and Dad could get away with.

A night of dancing was fueled by cakes baked perfectly by friends of the bride filled with summer treats of raspberries or topped with creamy chocolate.

As friends and family laughed among the stars, Jess and Richard’s day was sealed basking in the warmth of an open fire wrapped in each others arms.

Thank you Jess and Richard for showing all that is possible that starts with love.

Kristine & Steve – Their Wedding

Kristine and Steve’s wedding was a simple event that focused on the aspects of their lives that mattered most: family, friends and food with
a twist of art. This was ever apparent as I arrived to their beautiful home where the mood was joyous and light.
Bre, Kristine’s Maid of Honor was creating the beautiful bouquets and boutonnières as Kristine put the finishing touches on handmade hair pieces that she made for her bridesmaids. Keeping her look beautifully simple Kristine did her own hair and make-up to match the sleek elegance of her dress.
Kristine and Steve read their own vows in a small intimate ceremony held a 5 minute walk down into the park from their home. Celebrating with their amazing families in the beautiful August warmth.
From there we trekked back to their home to create intimate images of the two of them. We all took a short time to rest, before heading to the reception hall. The tables were adorned with vintage vases filled with flowers arranged by Kristine and family. Guests came to share Kristine and Steve’s passion for food with dinner catered by one of Calgary’s best restaurants Teatro

The love for this couple was wonderfully expressed through speeches, traditional Danish songs and the passing of Danish cake to all the guests. The night carried on filled with dancing to the sounds of a live band.

Their whole event can be seen here

Kristine and Steve’s intimate wedding is also beautifully showcased on the Fine Art Wedding Blog Wedding Sparrow.

Truus + Chad + Keala and baby Tya

It is pretty amazing to see the evolution of a family. I have been very thankful to see Truus and Chad raise little Keala into quite a funny little cutie. It is not amazing to see how this already happy family is now even more so as they have introduced little Tya to the world.

You can see the whole shoothere.
