What should you include in flat lay photos?
The key is to choose items that truly resonate with you, your business, and your ideal client. A few things to keep in mind when choosing items:
Does it coordinate with your brand colors, textures, patterns, etc.?
Many of the items will be laid down and photographed on their sides most often, although upright angled flat-lays can be taken as well.
PROP IDEAS FOR FLAT LAYS:
Items related to your work: laptop, business cards, notebook in brand color, pen in brand color, paper clips, favorite coffee mugs, etc.
Technology: laptop, ipad, phone, airpods, headphones, etc that would be relevant to you or your work
Fresh or faux flowers or plants
Fresh or faux produce
Beverages: champagne, tea, coffee, infused water, beer, wine, etc.
Workout/exercise items
Your go-to makeup/hair/skin care/self care items
